As health insurance exchanges open next week for the Affordable Care Act, the Wyoming Insurance Department is warning consumers to be aware of possible scams.
The Department's Consumer Alert says to watch for sales persons asking for money, credit card or bank account information to enroll someone in the marketplace. The alert says to be wary of persons offering discount medical cards or unsolicited calls from persons claiming to be Medicare or Medicaid representatives asking for personal or financial information.
