PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PROPOSED RULES 
STATE OF WYOMING 
DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY SERVICES 
Central Registry of Abuse and Neglect of Children and Vulnerable Adults. 


Public Notice is hereby given that the Department of Family Services (DFS) intends to amend the following rules: Central Registry for Child & Disabled Adult Protection, Chapters 1-4

DFS shall amend the rules to ensure consistency with statutory changes passed during the 2017 legislative session, ensure the rules are consistent with practice, and reduce redundancy.

The public comment period is from August 7, 2017 through October 1, 2017. 

Written comments shall be submitted to:

A public hearing on the rules will be held by DFS if requested by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less then twenty-five (25) members.  Requests for a hearing should be directed to DFS at the address above by the date specified.  Any person may urge the agency not to adopt the rules and also request the agency to state its reasons for overruling any request to not adopt the rules for the Central Registry program. Interested parties may request a statement of DFS’ position regarding each comment and the action taken as a result of the comments prior to, or within 30 days after the amendment of these rules.  Requests shall be submitted to the above address. If requested, the statement will be issued by DFS within 30 days after DFS’ action.
