PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PROPOSED CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT RULES

CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM

Public Notice is hereby given that the Department of Family Services intends to amend the following rule:

Child Support Enforcement 

Chapter 10 Section 2(a)

Pursuant to Enrolled Act No. 39, the Department of Family Services finds it necessary to amend Chapter 10 Section 2(a) of the Child Support Enforcement Program rules to state: CSE may administratively suspend an obligor’s driver’s license if the obligor has an arrears balance of at least $2,500 and a full monthly payment has not been made within 90 days.

The public comment period is May 5, 2015 – 
June 18, 2015.

A public hearing on the rules will be held by the Department of Family Services if requested by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than twenty-five (25) members.  Requests for a hearing should be directed to the department at the address above by the date specified.  Any person may urge the agency not to adopt the rules and also request the agency to state its reasons for overruling the consideration urged against adoption. Interested parties may request a statement of the Department of Family Services’ position regarding each comment and the action taken as a result of the comments prior to, or within 30 days after the amendment of these rules.  Requests shall be submitted to the above address.  If requested, the statement will be issued by the Department within 30 days after the Department action.

Comments
