Emergency Food and Commodity Assistance
TEFAP:
DFS works with the Food Bank of the Rockies to administer The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), to help supply food to the food banks across the state. TEFAP is separate from SNAP and helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. You are eligible for TEFAP assistance if your gross household income does not exceed 130% of the current federal poverty level.  Check this income table for more information.

Food Banks:

If you are in need of additional food assistance and meet the income requirements you are eligible for a food box provided at your local food bank. Here is a list of community food banks and soup kitchens receiving TEFAP commodities, their addresses and distribution information can be found by clicking Wyoming TEFAP List. Please use the following information to contact the food bank for distribution information.

Mobile Pantries:

There are a lot of partners that do not distribute TEFAP goods, but can help with additional food assistance, including mobile pantries (which are open to the public). All DFS field office staff have been equipped with a list of the TEFAP locations, partnering agencies, as well as the mobile pantry schedule
